Volunteers are critically important to the success of the Make Your Mark Foundation. There are opportunities to get involved by providing instructional support to our student leaders, as well as, offering administrative and operational support for the organization overall. Below are descriptions of volunteer opportunities. If you wish to be considered for any of these volunteer positions, please contact us for a volunteer application.
Volunteers in this role can make a one time or multiple time commitment to share with the group. Our hope is that we can expose our student leaders to as many successful people as possible. We invite you to share experiences from your life that have contributed to your overall success, as well as, feel free to do activities with the children that might simulate life scenarios that will ultimately contribute to their success.
If you have a knack for building relationships and are willing to provide academic assistance in math and/or reading, this is the volunteer spot for you. Mentors are provided instructional training by the Make Your Mark staff before working with students in the areas of math and reading. They are also equipped with the resources necessary to help student leaders set personal and academic goals on a weekly basis. Have a knack for teaching basketball fundamentals? Contact us and work with our staff to train all age groups from first through twelfth grade in the fundamentals of basketball. There are also opportunities for folks skilled in Yoga, Cross Fit, Pilates, or any other physical fitness regiment that can be incorporated into our daily workouts.
We welcome volunteers to get involved for special events, family orientations, and other programming. If you are interested in being informed about upcoming opportunities, then we will add you to our email list. We also welcome volunteers who have a gift in leading service projects that can help our student leaders build stronger relationships with each other and members of their local communities.
